This articles focus was women standing up for their rights due to men having all the power in the past. Rich states that women and men are equally human and that women should have every right men do. She also points out that in today's society, despite having the same rights, the upper levels of faculty and administration in most institutions are male. I agree with her in the importance of woman's rights and that women and men are equally capable of authority positions. I disagree though with her statement that there are very few woman in upper levels of faculty and administration. I only disagree based on my major here at Bloomsburg, which I realize is only a small part of the university. The dean and head of the psychology department are both female and the ratio of female professors to males professors is significantly higher.
